Note#1: When 259 heavy duty engine is used in these models the engine will be identified by a 5E engine number. Heavy duty engines are further identified by the stenciled clover leaf symbol on the engine number boss.
Note#2: When 259 heavy duty engine is used in these models the engine will be identified by a 5E engine number. When 289 standard duty engine is used the engine will be identified by a 7E number. When 289 heavy duty engine will be identified by a 6E engine number. Heavy duty engines are further identified by the stenciled clover leaf symbol on the engine number boss.

Serial Number Plate Location: On seat riser, left side

Engine Number Location: 6 cyl - At the top left side front corner of the cylinder block. 8 cyl - On top, front end of cylinder block next to oil filler tube.

Note#5: Using a 1" feeler a pull of 11 to 16 lbs on a spring scale should be necessary to withdraw the feeler past the piston.

Engine Tightening Specifications:
Torque specifications are for clean and lightly lubricated threads only. Dry or dirty threads produce increased friction which prevents accurate measurement of tightness.
